Facebook has almost twice the number of users than the population of both Canada and the United States combined. Twitter has close to 200 million users. Reaching out to this online universe can be more useful for business than leveraging any other medium that you can think of. These two major social networks have cut across geographical boundaries and evolved to a stage where even traditional advertising barriers such as age and language can't hold back their stupendous growth and popularity.

How Good Is Your Website Marketing?

Most business owners I have been talking with have stated to me that their sales numbers have been down a lot during the last few years. The recession is hitting everyone pretty hard. I recently read a report that stated sales are down between 25 to 50% in the Waterloo Region for most industries. People seem to not have as much disposable income as they used to.

In this upcoming month at the SBCN meeting, we will be discussing mobile apps. Why? Simply put, it is the future and we need to know it! We will spend some time on mobile in general looking at stats, what is an app, what is it good for and a recap of social media that integrates with apps. The easy marketing that comes from all these tools has been given to you through the months and those that took advantage of my time and have followed me online have had a great opportunity to grow.
