| 7:45pm - 8:05pm | Presenter: Heather Galt, Executive-in-Residence, Communitech Rev Accelerator & SME Heather Galt is currently the Marketing EIR for Communitech's Rev Accelerator and SME companies. Heather has a strong background in product and service go-to-market, B2B marketing, channel marketing, customer insights, and internationalization and privacy. She has experience in mobile, wireless/telcos, hardware, software and services. Heather has worked in small, rapidly scaling, and large companies. Heather was most recently the VP Marketing at Kik Interactive, where she built the marketing, customer support, customer analytics, recruiting and privacy functions of the company as it grew from 4M users to the over 250M users Kik has today. Prior to Kik, Heather spent 11 years at BlackBerry in various marketing and channel-facing roles, including 5 years of working internationally with RIM's global carrier partners in over 100 countries, and 2 years with one of RIM's largest partners, Verizon Wireless. Heather started her career in start-ups, working in marketing and product management for two small companies that grew significantly. Heather is also a lecturer in marketing for Wilfrid Laurier University's MBA program. Heather has her MBA in Marketing and Strategy from York University, and her CIPP/C from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. | |
