You are moving forward with your business, you have invested time and money into building the foundations, and then you make the mistake of your life - you failed to use the resources you paid for and the ones you can get for free - big no no!
What resources am I talking about?
- Financial
- Human
- Educational
Let me explain.
You looked at your budget and decided where to spend your money. A couple of examples would be Office space, IT, Marketing, Employees, and last but not least Networking. Some of the things in my list can be used free of charge, some you have to pay for, whether its hard cash or the barter system.
Human resources could be linked to the same list, it's how you are using the human resources you either paid for or received for free. These could be employees, people you hire to ake care of your marketing such as contractors, or the people you meet when networking, who may turn into your clients.
Educational resources are vital to your ongoing success and the list would look something like this:
- Further education at a College or University part time course
- Seminars at events
- Networking opportunities
- Online courses/information
The above are all valuable resources you can utilise to grow your business and your own education, connections, revenue. But so many people fail to use the sometimes very expensive, and very valuable resources they chose to invest in. Either financially or with their time. So why are they not using these valuable resources. Have they forgotten about them, don't they have the time to use some if not all of them?
It really does not make any sense at all and I urge you to take a look at where you are spending your money and your time and what you have invested in and use those resources wisely, it will pay off big time.
