Hello everyone, my name is Linda Ockwell-Jenner, I am co-founder of the Small Business Community Network Group, (SBCN) which was founded in 2003 by myself and Dave Ockwell-Jenner. Why did we decide there was a need for yet another business networking group?
- We investigated the Small Business Networking events out there and discovered very few that were actually offering
- Affordability
- Seminars
- Mentorship
- All the Benefits we wanted to offer
- Our mandate was to be consistent, meet once a month, offer Seminars each month, mentorship, friendly admosphere, and affordable guest and membership fees.
- After 6 years we have realised many of the business networking groups have closed down. Business networking groups are started but fail to make it because of: lack of interest, are too expensive to attend, you have to become a member after 2 visits, there can only be one representative from each business category and the list goes on.
The SBCN offers value for money and an ongoing list of benefits for our members. We do not actively recruit members and are quite happy for you to come along as a guest each month, we find our guests realise the enourmous benefits by becoming a member and continue membership year after year.
