Simple Brand Awareness Tips

I am not an expert in any shape, sense or form where branding is concerned. But I do have to admit I know for sure I have done an awesome job of branding my businesses, myself and thereby standing out from the crowd and being noticed.

When I am invited to speak at events it’s not because I have the information to share on a PowerPoint slide, it’s because I tackle business from the simplest perspectives and save myself time and money. I have been there, done that, and proved I know what I am talking about.

Branding is widely misunderstood. I am sure I have shared this with you before. Branding is not just one aspect of your business. It’s not whether you have a business card, a website, products and services to sell. It’s much more than that.

Those of you whom I mentor, advise, or people who are my clients know that I offer simple strategies that won’t confuse you. Imagine a clock with 12 numbers and 2 hands. We are able to recognize what time it is because the clock has everything it needs for us to glance at it and know what time it is. The challenge arises when a hand or a number is missing, then we have to look closely and take time working out the time.

Where branding is concerned in order to stand out from the crowd, become a recognized brand and gain more exposure, the object of this exercise is to ensure we make it easy for our target market to find us.

Brand ambassadors are people who love what we do and are willing to spread the word for us. In order for them to be able to do that they have to be aware of our message; and the message – like our brand, has to stay consistent.

We build brand awareness, just like we would build the strong foundations for a house. If one element is missing, our house is likely to fall apart. If we cut to the chase and start selling our brand before we have ensured it’s relevant and people can understand it, our business will not succeed.

I have many more tips to share but the purpose of this article was to make readers aware you have to start at the beginning just like anything else we do in life.
