Second Acquisition for My IT Guy Increases Web and Email Hosting Capabilities
Press Release (July 30, 2014) KITCHENER, ON - My IT Guy Corp, a leading provider of IT support in Waterloo Region, announced today that it has acquired Virtual Planet Inc., a boutique web and email hosting provider based in Kitchener.
The purchase of Virtual Planet, based in Kitchener, Ontario, further increases My IT Guy's ability to provide premium web and email hosting to the greater Kitchener-Waterloo area. "This will mean a 'one stop shop' experience for existing clients of both companies, streamlining everyone's efforts and simplifying the management of the technologies that every small business relies on," said Adam Smith, Owner & CEO of My IT Guy Corp.
"Adam is continuing to grow My IT Guy and expand his own hosting services. He already offers web site and email hosting, and wants to build upon that success by taking on Virtual Planet's services," commented Tom Schiller, Owner of Virtual Planet. This is the second acquisition for My IT Guy, who previously acquired a local IT consulting firm in August 2012.
