Article Submission Guidelines

Writing articles helps you showcase your expertise and points-of-view on topics that our readers would appreciate. Here are some considerations we encourage you to review to help you deliver a brilliant article.

  1. Know Your Audience: Understand who you're writing for. Tailor your language, tone, and content to appeal to your target audience.
  2. Compelling Title: Create a catchy title that grabs attention and accurately reflects the content of your article. It should be concise and intriguing.
  3. Clear Structure: Organize your article with a clear structure including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Use headings, subheadings, and bullet points to make it easy to read.
  4. Engaging Introduction: Start with a compelling introduction that hooks the reader and provides an overview of what they can expect from the article.
  5. Valuable Content: Provide valuable information, insights, or entertainment to your readers. Make sure your content is well-researched, accurate, and relevant to your audience.
  6. Useful Formatting: Use short paragraphs, bullet points, and numbered lists to break up the text and make it easier to read. Use bold or italicized text to emphasize important points.
  7. Visuals: Incorporate relevant images, videos, infographics, and other visual elements to enhance your content and engage your audience. (see below under Using Images)
  8. Link to Credible Sources: Provide links to credible sources to support your claims and add credibility to your article.
  9. Call to Action: End your article with a clear call to action, whether it's encouraging readers to leave a comment, share the article on social media, or take another desired action.
  10. Proofread and Edit: Before publishing, carefully proofread and edit your article to ensure it's free of spelling and grammatical errors, and flows smoothly.

Using Images

Many images you find on the Internet are not available to use freely. Just because you can download it, doesn't mean you can use it. You must either have a license to use the image, or use royalty-free images that are free to use. If you're looking for great royalty-free images, we recommend Pexels.

The Submission Process

When you submit an article to the SBCN web site, it won't appear immediately. Our content editors will review your submission and publish it, or in limited cases may suggest some changes needed before it can be published.

Articles published on our site remain in place, even if your membership expires.
