I've been a member of SBCN for a few years and value it as one of my most important networking groups.

SBCN's grassroots nature allows members to concentrate on forming relationships rather then just cultivating leads. I value that SBCN members are actively involved socially and I view many SBCN members as friends.

Linda and Dave, as coaches and mentors, have given greatly of their time and energy is assisting me develop my business in terms of social networking and marketing. I highly recommend SBCN as a vital part of any small business network.

Small Business Community Network Member Testimonial - Carolyn Wilker

The Small Business Community Network: A warm group of small business owners committed to growing their small businesses and sharing expertise with others. The founders, Dave and Linda Ockwell-Jenner have answered numerous questions I've had, Dave on the technical end and Linda on business coaching and networking.

Member Testimonial - Adam Smith,My IT Guy

The SBCN has been a tremendous resource for myself and the growth of My IT Guy. When I started with the SBCN in 2004 I was just starting the business and was terribly shy. Networking was not something that came naturally to me. However the friendly and welcoming group made me feel right at home, and over the years has helped me to grow out of that shell, and along the way I’ve made a wealth of valuable contacts and rich relationships.

Small Business Community Network, Waterloo Region

The Small Business Community Network group (SBCN) was founded in 2003 by Linda and Dave Ockwell-Jenner. It was felt there was a need for an organization such as the SBCN to help small business owners enter the world of networking. Our guiding principles are:

Offer a warm welcome to both members and guests.
We focus on building relationships of trust.
    Mentorship; helping one another grow.
Referrals are not an expectation, but they come with time.
We are not limited to a single member of each profession.
