Wow! Last nights meeting was jam packed full of members and guests, it was wonderful! As you all know Dave and I work very hard to promote the Small Business Community Network (SBCN) and reach out to those people who do not know about the SBCN and how we can help them. We would like to say a very big Thank You to our Ambassadors, Brendan Waller and Nelson Dunk for helping us host the meeting and making sure everyone was welcomed and felt at home. We would also like to say Thank You to Kerstin Kramer and Mike Diamond who shared how wonderful the SBCN is with all of the guests last night.
We are very pleased to welcome the newest member of the Small Business Community Network (SBCN).

The Small Business Community Network (SBCN) will be hosting the 3rd Annual MarketPlace Conference on Monday 23rd September, and we are happy to say it is a SOLD OUT Event yet again! As one of the co-founders of the SBCN I have to say Thank You to Dave Ockwell-Jenner, our other co-founder for helping me put this conference together again this year. It is quite amazing that it only takes two of us to plan, execute and host this conference.
After a small break, we're back with a new episode of the SBCN Podcast featuring an interview with SBCN Member and avid networker, Deb O'Brien. Deb shares some of her networking tips and how she's made her way to success!
If you haven't had a chance to listen to the podcast, don't worry, it's easy -- simply listen on-line direct on the SBCN web site. For those with Apple devices, you'll also find us in the iTunes Store.
LindaOJ here and I want to say Thank You to everyone who attended last nights SBCN Summer Social. We had a full house, lots of fun and everyone enjoyed the now famous SBCN Quiz.
The SBCN Summer Social came into being because Dave and myself realised not everyone has a works party in the Summer or to celebrate Christmas so we came up with the idea and the event has continued to grow over the past years.
TELUS together with the Globe and Mail have announced the four semi-finalists in this year's TELUS Challenge contest. Unfortunately none of our SBCN Members made the shortlist this time, although competition was stiff with over 1,000 entries!
We are very happy to welcome a new member of the Small Business Community Network (SBCN).
