We would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas, a safe and healthy holiday, and we look forward to 2015!
Messages from the Founders
How many people/employees does it take to build a successful business over a period of 11 years? In the case of the Small Business Community Network (SBCN) it has taken 2 people, who give back to the small business community by working diligently to ensure the SMB's get the help they need.
Those 2 people both have their own small businesses and one of them also works full time for a large global organization, so between them they own & run 3 businesses and work full time for an organization! No small feat.
LindaOJ here co-founder of the SBCN, and one of the things that's helped me succeed in business, is the help from people who have shared their success stories, good and bad. Today I want to share a powerful blog post from Andrea Goertz, Chief Communications & Sustainabilty Officer at TELUS.
The Small Business Community Network (SBCN) has some awesome events planned for 2015. Check out some of our SBCN Waterloo Region chapter events and the topics for the seminars, we know you will be wowed out and register to attend the events to ensure you don't miss out. Here is a sneak peek at January's event.
Thanks to everyone who braved the snow last night and attended our last monthly meeting until January 2015. Don't forget to sign up for the SBCN Christmas Social taking place on Monday December 8th, 2014.
Enjoy great company, food, and of course the now famous SBCN Quiz!
Now is the time to plan for 2015 and here is a great quote to encourage you to plan ahead.

Why not come along to the SBCN event on Wednesday 19th November, at Kitcheer City Hall. Dave Ockwell-Jenner, co-Founder of the SBCN has an extensive background in technology: from building one of the Internet’s earliest major web sites, to helping secure some of the world’s most critical systems. He has led the development of solutions for some of Canada’s most prominent technology companies, including Research in Motion and Nortel.
11th November is Remembrace Day, and it's time for us to walk away from our computers, smart phones, computer games etc, and take the time to say Thank You and to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty.
