Linda and Dave Ockwell-Jenner, co-founders of the Small Business Community Nework (SBCN) would like to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday, and a prosperous New Year!
The Small Business Community Network (SBCN) realised many years ago that not every office has a Christmas Party, that's how the SBCN Annual Xmas Social came into being, we also enjoy our very own SBCN Quiz. This event is also an awesome way to connect with the people you are building relationships with in a less formal manner, more of a social networking event.
The key to success today is to build your business, one relationship at a time. Build trusted relationships with your connections.
I imagined a business networking organization that would offer mentoring, strategies, events, and be affordable. But more importantly be friendly and welcoming and ensure everyone felt comfortable. I wanted to offer a community based organization that was two fold, helping businesses understand the benefits of networking, and also understanding the benefits of being a part of a community and working together.

The SBCN was co-founded in 2003 by Linda Ockwell-Jenner and Dave Ockwell-Jenner, who saw an opportunity to create a grass roots community focused business networking organization. With the onset of Social Media the opportunities were two fold which is why the SBCN offers their members traditional networking skills and also online networking skills.
It may seem easy when you are in the corporate world, or a small business owner, to enter the world of business networking, but it's definitely a skill set that once you have can determine your future success.
As one of the co-founders of the Small Business Community Network (SBCN) the article I am sharing with you today got me with the title "Consistency Drives Success at Telus" consistency is definitely one of the secrets of my success and I share this with everyone, not really a secret. But consistency is often overlooked and replaced with change.
