This week, I began something new. After proposing creative writing classes to community centres in Kitchener earlier this year, I have a class at Rockway Seniors Centre on Monday mornings for the Fall session. For some of the participants, this will be an entirely new adventure. I teach them about writing through lecture and interactive activities and most of all, writing assignments that they will work on over the eight weeks of the course, honing and polishing their writing.
